Here are some of the important categories:

Reports

Our Island produces “Reports” important to our “Manufacturing Day” that range from Industrial Development to school district STEM offerings. All are fodder for thoughts on coordinated methods of generating excitement in the opportunities for our future generation and the realization in our manufacturing-related firms of the “Acres of Diamonds” that will amplify their future — Here on Our Island.

The collection of reports is not meant to be exhaustive, but examples. More will be added as suggested.

Innovating the Talent Pipeline

Released close to the time of the Mfg Day LI Events.

The Report by our SCIDA, HIA/LI and WDI is a solid survey of the needs of the manufacturers in the Long Island Innovation Park at Hauppauge, but applicable to all our firms, and provide hints at a roadmap for our educators.

COURSE HANDBOOK – Engineering Technology, West Islip

A great example of publications by leaders of our School Districts outlining the various STEM-related courses and activities.

An example is the description of the student team of the organization “Robotics Club” which contains divisions that mimic the fact that Long Island’s manufacturers offer opportunities in many areas.

The logos that indicate partnerships with the educators that offer opportunities for both.

Growth Drivers Amid Disruption – Citrin Cooperman’s Pulse Survey

Long Island’s branch of Citrin Cooperman has a leadership role in this periodic survey and report.

An important survey reveals the technologies needed for a successful manufacturer and distributor and indicates the technologies of the future that should be trained and hired for today.

The first section “Applying Advanced Technologies” suggests that analytics, AI, Machine Learning, and Intelligent automation give significant commercial and technical advantage.

STEM Events

Among the reasons that Long Island is THE place for Manufacturing is that our educators and students are attracted to the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics that weaves through the discovery and building of products.
